Major Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has increased assaults on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The attacks come after evenings of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
